Women & Children

Women & Children is a band hailing from California and Canada. The band focuses on dark, reverb heavy, dream-pop. The music made by this band is truly remarkable, it is not just 1+1=2, but is something organic, yet unnatural. Regardless, it is haunting and beautiful music.

PRISM index is lucky enough to have the American resident, Kevin Lasting, share some different pieces of art. In the print edition of #1, there are 4 charcoal paintings by Kevin from a series of 20. The series consists of men wanted by Michigan police for a variety of offenses including sexual assault, a stabbing, & robbery. Kevin paints semi-realistic portraits of the criminals, which are based off the original police sketches. The technique almost mutates their crimes by disassociating the human face even more, by replacing it with yet another artistic generation.

On the PRISM index CD #1, Kevin shares one of his short, sweet, and scary tracks. This one being unreleased and entitled “Hello Fever.”

As a bonus, the print edition also includes a mysterious recipe from Kevin’s cookbook. (Hint: it may be a pie)
