Big Blood
Big Blood is the brainchild of Caleb Mulkerin and Colleen Kinsella. The two have been making music together for around ten years. Today they live together and make “stuff” at home in South Portland, Maine, usually between the hours of 8pm and 3am, while their daughter is sleeping. They release most of their own records through their own record label, which is called Dontrustheruin. They also have some material out on Time-lag Records.
Colleen Kinsella is a multi-talented force. Her artwork is complex and intricate, generally employing multiple methods of production including etching, silkscreen, watercolor, and ink. She and her husband, Caleb Mulkerin, created a handmade record label called Don’t Trust the Rain that features her artwork. Together the two make music as Big Blood, but also with and as Cerberus Shoal, Fire on Fire, and Asian Mae.
