Andrew Parsons (Guitar Slim)

Guitar Slim (a.k.a. Andrew Parsons) was a vagabond troubadour who kicked around the curbs of Greenwich Village in the early 60’s. His free finger picking and blues styling’s quickly enamored a young Michael Hurley. In 1963, they cut a few tracks on DJ Bob Fass’s ‘Radio Unnameable’ program on WBAI. One appears here. They have been buried for 50 years. Parsons disappeared when the tracks did, but has yet to resurface.
