PRISM index kept hearing about beautiful and bizarre bands, such as the Japanese cult band “People,” through someone’s handle on a music forum. After finding consistently interesting music, we investigated further into “SchonWanner.” This led us to fascinating drawings and paintings displaying heavily stylized religious iconography, surreal depictions of god, mud, and who knows what. His art, especially his drawings, mix similar medias’ to complete a singular vision. Schon was kind enough to contribute two drawings, “The Creation of Birds” and “Observational Drawing of An Astral Projection.”

- A Brief Aside Regarding Heresy And Idolatry As They Pertain To The Representation Of God(s) In The Visual Arts -
a) (God) is all things. If Heresy exists, at all, surely it exists only in that moment when we look at That-Which-Is-God and refer to It as That-Which-Is-Not-(God)
b) (God) is all things. The visual artist is doomed to idolatry, as nothing that can perceived (or not), or depicted in any way, can be anything but (God).
