Sam Green received his Master’s Degree in Journalism from University of California Berkeley, where he studied documentary with acclaimed filmmaker Marlon Riggs. He has received grants from the Creative Capital, Rockefeller and Guggenheim Foundations, as well as the National Endowment for the Arts. He’s most notable for his feature-length documentary film, The Weather Underground, which, was nominated for an Academy Award.

In issue #2 of PRISM index, Green shares with us Clear Glasses, a short documentary regarding his personal experiences after receiving a pair of old glasses from Mark Rudd (leader of the Weather Underground). The two send letters back and forth like old friends, and allow us to be voyeurs in their casual exchanges.
