Brett Eugene Ralph spent the better part of his youth in Louisville, Kentucky, playing football and singing in punk rock bands. He splits his time between writing poetry to rocking out. His literary work has appeared in publications such as Conduit, McSweeney’s, Exquisite Corpse, and The American Poetry Review. Black Sabbatical, his first full-length collection, will be published in 2009 by Sarabande Books. Brett Eugene Ralph’s Kentucky Chrome Revue, his sprawling country rock ensemble, can be heard in seedy dives throughout the South.
For PRISM index #1, Brett contributed a few beautiful and confounding poems.
