We first discovered Annelies Monseré through her record “Helder” in 2005. The record is haunting and has a distinctive ethereal tone to it. For Prism Index, Annelies gave a demo version of “here”. “Fact is, I was really suprised when I listened to it again,” Annelies said. “I found this version much better than the one the actually ended up on ‘Helder.’ I guess I wanted a version that was a little cleaner for the record, I don’t know – but I think this one has a much better drive (not that it is that different).”
Memo:
I let other people do the talking:
What “famous” people/fellow musicians have to say about me:
“We belong to the same scene” (Mauro Pawlowski/dEUS)
“Your picture is beautiful, but you don't look like it at all.” (Matt Elliot)
“Can I give you a hand?” (Jason Molina offering me to carry my bag. I totally misunderstood him and gave him a hand)
Misunderstandings you might get from reading reviews (luckily – no one does read reviews!):
I am not 19, I am 30.
I am not planning to put a gun to my head.
Though I do drink tea, I also like to party sometimes.
I do wear short skirts sometimes.
